Bathroom Lighting Fixtures—Additional Lights to Include in a Bathroom

One of the best key elements for a beautiful bath room design is lighting. Aside from the very common and usual general lighting offered by overhead lights, there are also several other types of fixtures that needs to be incorporated in the bath room for that soft, ambient, and comfortable feel. Each fixture creates a layer of illumination that can function for grooming, self-care, and/or relaxation.
When you think about home lighting, think about those that need to be placed around the mirror or the vanity area. Shaving, makeup application, washing, and other facial care will need the best lighting possible. From the many selections available in the market today, the choices can range from a fixture with a single bulb to multiple bulbs. There are also lights that can be installed at just any area or part of the bath room.
For those who want to save some cash over their already expensive electric bills, there are several bathroom lighting fixtures in the market today that are marked with Energy Star to indicate that such products have wonderful energy saving abilities. These lights are known ton only consume ¼ of the energy consumed by a regular fixture. They are also good at light distribution. These lights can appear as scones and other types that are suitable for bath room use.
A traditional fixture for bath room usually includes three to four lights that are lined together to the same electric circuit. They are commonly seen as frozen glass globes that resembles a round vase. These lights can either have globes that faces up for a wider casting of light upwards or globes that faces down for below light casting. They are available in pewter or brass finishes in the form of layered wall scones as well.
Bathroom light fixtures of the contemporary type are much simple but extremely functional. They can widely vary as great art deco to a more discreet style. They usually have matte to nickel plated finishes giving them a clean and sparkling look. They can also include several arty lampshades with frosted glass cover of different sizes and shapes to appeal many homeowners. One of the most popular choices also includes boxed in lights for a more modern look. On either side of the mirror, single scones will make a wonderful choice for easy distribution of light over the face thus avoiding casting of shadows all over the working and grooming area of the bath room.

Cuetec Pool Cues: Re-inventing the Cue

Cuetec was created in 1989 and became successful right away. They stated that they “re-invented” the pool cue by stopping some of the leading problems with cues before their time such as warping and dents. Many people have used cuetec cues in competition. At least 9 world championships have been won using a Cuetec cue. Some of their patented features are an Adjustable weight bolt system, Smart extensions, and a Tiger Tip. They stopped warping by incasing the normally custom wood cues with a fiber glass coating. Thus, there is a wood core and a fiber glass shell that locks out moisture to prevent warping and maintain stability. This is known as the “Power Bonding Process”. Some of their newest designs you may have seen on the market are the Thunderbolt, Vortex, Python, Jump cue, and Masse cue. Cuetec is a leader in the field as technology advances and the need for stability increases.

The Art of Ball Hopping

Ever been stuck behind that 1 ball that is keeping you from winning a game of billiards? It happens to all to many of us when we are playing the game and sometimes it is the reason we’ll lose a few dollars, if you are brave enough to put money on your skills. A couple solutions to this problem can be banking the ball of the side rails, or taking out the middle man and hopping the ball over. Ball hopping is a very difficult thing to figure out when you are not used to doing it. You have to make sure that your cue stick is placed right in between the ball and the table and that the higher you need to go, the greater the angle of your cue stick. So in an example, when you’re stuck behind that stripe your opponent has left and the 8 ball is sitting on the lip of the corner pocket, just aim carefully and put the perfect amount of height on the jump as well as a little backspin to stop the ball from possibly scratching. It sounds hard but in the long run, if you can get it down, you can master these hard situations without the middle man needed.

The 9-Ball Blues

How often is it that when you play a game of 9-ball you can take out 8 balls in a row but just can’t finish off the streak with the 9th ball. Its so frustrating but I have a few tips that may help you in your 9-ball game in the bars against a stranger, or even at home against your friends. One thing that you have to do is make sure if you get those 8 balls in a row, be aware of just where you’ll need to set up for the 9 ball at the end. Don’t try to make a fancy shot cross table if you don’t have to. Another thing that you can do is sacrifice a shot early. It sounds stupid, but you can always try to throw off your opponent by sinking 2 balls then missing one on purpose to get him into the game and onto the table. To make this really effective you have to remember that it will help you even more if you can place the ball in a very awkward position, especially if it is in a position where your opponent may knock the 9-ball in, giving you the free win. Hopefully these couple of tips can help you out in your 9-ball game and maybe, just maybe one day you’ll be on tv or even in the bar racking up extra dollars with your new techniques.
